VH1'S BASKETBALL WIVES STAR

Royce Reed-- Speaks Out!

AAJENT MAG: Congratulations! On your new book title College Girls, Tell us a little bit about it? and Where can it be purchased?

ROYCE REED: College Girls is based off of my life and the lives of several of my male and female friends life in college. After sharing stories, I realized how similar our experiences were and how much was never told to us before we went to college. I changed some names and merged some characters to keep some things confidential but I wrote the book to show the side of college no one ever really speaks about. You go through bro-ken relationships, abductions, physical fights, and life trials and tribulations. Its very real and I think anyone going into college or who has been there can relate hopefully to at least 1 person in the book. College Girls can be purchased directly on my website www.RoyceLyndsay.com or on Amazon.com.

AEM: How do you feel now coming out of the shadow of VH1’s hit new show, Basketball Wives onto your own?

RR: It feels great. I think being on the show is a great stepping stone for my future. It's given me a chance to show people who I really am and not base it off a gossip website when 90% of their stories are fabricated or just plain false.

AEM: Do you feel on the first season of the show that you was pressured to tone down a bit? and Why?

RR: Not at all. I made that decision on my own. I realized I'm not 20 any-more and that I need to be more cognizant about my actions especially since I'm a mother. I believe through experience comes knowledge and growth so I've definitely matured a lot.

1 On 1 With R&B sensation [Miguel]

{Toya] A Family Affair

1071 Brick Squad [Slim Dunkin]
Jazmin Rivera: How was it like working with the rapper J. Cole for your song “ All I Want Is You” ?
Miguel:
We never got into the studio together J Cole was actually in a different state at the time, But J Cole came up with his part of the lyrics and I could have asked for any-thing better. The song turned out great!
Did you expect the song “ All I Want Is You” to blow up as big as it did?
To be honest I had no expectations for the song, its actually not my job to expect anything. Its just cool watching peo-ple react to the music and be able to relate to the emotion behind it.
So your African and Mexican mix, How was it like growing up with both backgrounds?
Being mixed made me deal with the adversity and I was forced to define who I am and just the artistry and who I am is a blessing.
Name some artists that you would like to collaborate with in the future?
J. Cole again, Pharrel, Kanye West, Kid Cuddi, dead mouse, Swedish House Mafia, Phoenix, Grizzly Bear and just so many other people.
What should we expect from the next album “State Of The Art” ? Well that's actually a working title not going be a sure name, the next album is going to be very different from the sounds and the music to the writing, because a lot of the material in the album is 4 to 5 years old

Artisha Williams: Congratulations on your new book Priceless Inspirations. Tell us about the book and How did Lil‟ Wayne come about doing the foreword?

Antonia (Toya) Carter: Priceless Inspirations was a notebook that I had as a kid. I wrote down all my thoughts and feelings. As I got older I thought about doing a book. I wanted to share my experiences through the book. As far as Lil Wayne doing the foreword I thought he would be the perfect person to have him do the foreword. My book is not like a tell all book. So I asked him would he mind doing the foreword and he said sure. So that was his way of showing how supportive he was of me.

How do you feel coming into your own with your new show on BET Toya: A Family Affair and was it a lot of pressure?
I‟m very excited about my new show. I feel it‟s a positive show. The taping was rough I was learning a lot overall. I‟m hoping that the message of the show touches a lot of different families.
