Blog here. Whitney Houston died this afternoon ... a rep for the singer told the Associated Press.
Our sources tell us a member of Whitney's entourage found her in her room at the Beverly Hilton hotel ... and called hotel security -- who then dialed 911. When paramedics arrived Houston was found unresponsive.
We're told police arrived to the scene within minutes and fire was already there on an unrelated call. According to our sources, paramedics performed CPR but it did not work and she was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM.
Our sources say there were no obvious signs of foul play, but BH PD detectives have begun a full investigation. We're told she was ID'ed by family and friends.
The singer famously battled drug addiction for years.
Houston was seen out in Hollywood on Thursday night ... and she did not look well (see below).
After months of rumors about her pregnancy - including that it was fake, Beyonce is now said to be close to giving birth.
She is at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York and is "about to" deliver her first child, according to the Daily News and ABC News.
The paper attributes the news to "sources" and says that the superstar singer has checked in under the name of Ingrid Jackson.
She and her husband, Jay-Z, are said to have rented out fourth floor for $1.3 million. ABC News reports that she checked in Friday night.
Several security guards were spotted patrolling the outside of the hospital Saturday night. And a Lenox Hill staffer confirmed to the Daily News that a patient named Ingrid Jackson was in a "labor room."
Kim Kardashian has always insisted that she and Kanye West are just friends, but that may not be the truth after all!
In an exclusive interview with Star magazine, Kanye’s ex girlfriend, Amber Rose, revealed that the reason she and the singer split was because of the reality star’s devious cheating ways.
“Kim is one of the main reasons why me and Kanye are not together,” Amber exclusively told Star. “She’s a homewrecker!”
“She was sending pictures, and I was like, ‘Kim, just stop. Don’t be that person,’” but apparently Kim didn’t care enough to respond when Amber emailed her for an explanation.
“I thought at least she’d be woman enough to respond to me. She never responded.”
Amber slammed Kim for her cheating ways. “It’s very important that us women stick together and we don’t f**k each other over like that.”
However, Amber is current dating Wiz Khalifa, 24, and has credited Kim for helping her find true love.
“I want to thank her,” she said about Kim. “Because if she was never a homewrecker, then I never would have met Wiz, and I wouldn’t be as happy as I am now.”

It's been a drama-filled first season of The X Factor, but in the end it came down to three: Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene squared off in Wednesday's final round of competition for the grand prize – a $5 million recording contract.
Simon Cowell said the trio represented the most talented group of finalists of any singing competition he's done. But after Wednesday's performances, the head judge stood firmly behind his mentee, early frontrunner Amaro, saying the 19-year-old deserved to win following her duet with R. Kelly on "I Believe I Can Fly" and rendition of Beyoncé's "Listen."

Drake is inviting you to Club Paradise. The Take Care rapper has announced dates for a 2012 headlining tour.
Drake's Club Paradise Tour will kick off on Valentine's Day (the same day fellow Young Money family member Nicki Minaj drops her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded) in Miami before circling 17 cities in North America, with stops in party spots like New Orleans, Austin and San Diego. The tour name pays homage to a track Drizzy dropped back in September.
The tour will visit colleges across the U.S. before wrapping up the North American leg on March 11 in San Diego. Drake will then head to Europe for a string of additional dates, according to Pressparty.
And Drake isn't going at it alone. As previously confirmed, he'll be joined by Hottest Breakthrough MC contenders Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky.
"I spent a lot of time out there [in Toronto]; that's what this album is about," Drake recently explained. "That's what I'm gonna showcase. It's the same thing with the tour: I wanna bring Kendrick, I wanna bring A$AP, those are guys that I love. It has nothing to do with people on my label," he added. "Tyga's out, Nicki's working on an album and everybody else is doing their thing on the road with Wayne or with Wayne in the studio, so I just sort of showcased the music that I happen to love right now, and those are the two guys that I'm bringing out."
"I fought for this tour, I fought really hard for this tour because, of course, they want me to go get the big bucks, go into the stadiums and cash out," Drake revealed to MTV News in October about the decision to play more intimate shows. "But I was just like, I really made this album for the same people that supported me since day one."
In addition to a tour, next year Drake and Rick Ross plan to drop the Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once) mixtape. "The music is most definitely official," Ross said. "But, you know, me being a boss, I'm trying to find a way that we could put that on the shelves for the world, baby. But it's most definitely official." The release rides on the heels of Drake's chart-topping Take Care, which dropped in November.

Mystikal is the newest member of the Cash Moneyfamily. Just weeks after welcoming Busta Rhymes, YMCMB has added another veteran rapper to its star-studded lineup.
Cash Money Records CEO and founder Birdman signed the New Orleans native to the label in November, with his first album for Cash Money due next spring.
“It is an honor to get the opportunity to work with Mystikal, as we have a long history together,” said Birdman. “He is a great artist and his talent, combined with our hard work and strong team, is going to result in some of the best music of his career. We are expecting great work from Mystikal. Slim and I already have him in the studio working on his first album for Cash Money.”
Mystikal’s first single for Cash Money, entitled “Original,” features Lil Wayne and Baby. The club banger will debut today on New York radio station Hot 97.
“It has been a truly long time since I have felt like a rapper and with this signing, and partnership, Birdman and Slim have given me my life as a rapper back,” stated Mystikal, who topped the charts with his 2000 hit “Shake Ya Ass.” “I am ready to go. I am going to put my red Superman drawers, cape and boots on and go! This is a huge moment for me and I am truly excited to be with Cash Money Records.”

Rob Kardashian Is Moving to Dallas with Khloe, Lamar Odom

Rob Kardashian better get ready to keep up with some southern gentlemen!
According to brother-in-law Lamar Odom, Rob will be joining the NBA star and Khloe in Dallas, Texas.
"We'll have the whole family here," Odom, 32, told Us Weekly Tuesday at the Dallas Mavericks' press day. According to the athlete, Khloe's friend Malika Haqq and her 24-year-old brother will head to the Lone Star state in the next few weeks to film upcoming episodes of Khloe & Lamar.
"Khloe is a great wife," Odom gushed. "She'll make anywhere feel like home."
So far, the former L.A. Laker is liking life in the south. "[Dallas] is a great city," he said. "It reminds me a lot of Beverly Hills [or] Orange County. You can tell the city is really behind their team. It's a more relaxed atmosphere here, too, which is nice."
"I'm disappointed to leave my home, but I'm here now," Odom told reporters. "I'm a Maverick."
The Texan team is happy to have the national championship winning player onboard. Mavs owner Marc Cuban told Extra: "[Lamar is] a point forward, a power forward. He's flexible and knows how to play. And he's great in the locker room, just an incredible amount of skill and you can never have enough of that."
As for Khloe? "You know, we had a 'team' meeting, and we all decided that Khloe is the official favorite Kardashian of the Dallas Mavericks," Cuban quipped. "She's welcome with open arms. We can't wait to have the whole family, can't wait to have Khloe and Lamar, we'll go from there."

American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino is a mother again as she gives birth to baby boy
Former American Idol champion Fantasia Barrino has given birth to her first son.
The 27-year-old singer - who already has 10-year-old daughter Zion - delivered Dallas Xavier, two weeks ahead of her due date.
Fantasia went into labour on Monday and was taken to the Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, at around 1:30 pm PST before giving birth the next day.
It is understood her boyfriend Antwaun Cook - who is still married to his estranged wife Paula - is the father.

Happy news: Former American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino has given birth to a baby boy today
Source close to the couple told the website he was present with her at the birth.
Dallas weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs 9 oz. Speaking about the happy news, Fantasia told People magazine: 'I feel so blessed that my son Dallas Xavier was born healthy, and is a wonderful new addition to our family.
'I thank all my fans for their well wishes and continued support.'
Fantasia announced she was pregnant back in August while performing at a charity concert - although didn't confirm who the father was.
Speaking to fans at the opening of the Riverview Apartments in Jacksonville, Florida, she told them: 'You are the first persons that I share this news with. And I share this with you because I can relate to you.

'And for a while I walked around figuring out what will they say and what will they think about me. But now I tell you I don’t live my life for folk.

Fantasia was crowned the winner of Idol back in 2004.
In November 2010, Fantasia was said to have confessed during a child custody case between Cook and Paula that she fell pregnant with a baby with Cook but had an abortion.
In February this year, Fantasia was forced to deny rumours she was pregnant after she gained weight for a movie role.
The singer was apparently aiming to put on between 30 and 45lbs to play Mahalia Jackson, an African-American gospel singer, before she started shooting the movie in April.

'Fantasia is 100 per cent not pregnant. The only thing she's pregnant with is prosperity,' Fantasia's manager Brian Dickens said at the time.
'In fact, she's just signed on to play the lead in Mahalia and has been told to gain 30 to 45 pounds for the role.'
The biopic is based on a book titled Go Tell It: Mahalia Jackson, Queen of Gospel.
It tells the story of Jackson's rise from an impoverished New Orleans upbringing to becoming a gospel great.

Nicki Minaj to release new album on Valentine's Day
Hip-hop star confirms second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, is due on 14 February 2012

Nicki Minaj has announced the follow-up to her blockbuster debut album, and she is letting her gay male alter ego take the lead. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – despite its title, a new collection of songs – will be released on Valentine's Day 2012.
"Heeeee's baaaacccckkkkk," Minaj hollered on Twitter. The news comes about a year after the release of Pink Friday, which catapulted Minaj from mixtape wunderkind to worldwide star: she has already featured on five UK top 20 singles, and her debut has gone gold in the UK and platinum in the US. For her second album, Minaj is clearly aiming to capitalize on that success, borrowing Pink Friday's title but promising "ALL new tracks". It's a strategy that worked for Lady Gaga's Fame Monster.
The titular Roman was introduced on Pink Friday's second track, Roman's Revenge. Just one of many Minaj characters, Roman Zolanski is a violent, motorbike-riding "gay boy". "He's mean, he's angry and he's vicious," she told Cleo magazine. Although Minaj refuses to comment on her sexual orientation, she is a vocal supporter of LGBT rights.
Minaj first hinted at her new album in a blog post earlier this month, which was later removed. "[Roman] has 2 more weeks in boarding school," she wrote. "When he lands, he will address the nation in the form of music … Roman will be in rare form this time. You know why? Cuz he no longer gives a fuck. He realized that his core matters the most. Everyone else will figure it the fuck out. He can no longer be censored."

Kim Kardashian lands a role in Tyler Perry's 'Marriage Counselor'
Kim Kardashian has landed a role in the new Tyler Perry film "The Marriage Counselor," which is based on his play of the same name.
"Big news!! I'm co-starring in Tyler Perry's new movie!" Kardashian tweeted over the weekend (on her 31st birthday, actually). "It's gonna be such a fun experience!" she added.
Well, maybe the reality-TV starlet has learned a thing or two about married life seeing that she's been hitched, for what, three months now? Her lavish wedding to Kris Humphries has been the talk of the tabs for months. Could that be what caught Perry's eye?
Kardashian will play Ava, a friend and coworker of the titular counselor (played by Jurnee Smollett of "The Defenders" and "Friday Night Lights"), whose marriage takes a turn when she gets bored dispensing good advice and decides to sleep with a suave client, according to Deadline. But not to worry, Ava is there to give the counselor a big-city makeover when her life is in the dumps. Big stretch for fashionista Kardashian, no?
Mrs. Kris Humphries last appeared on the big screen in the 2009 film "Deep in the Valley" and made her big-screen debut in 2008's "Disaster Movie."
Let's just hope the middle Kardashian's stab at acting is better than her older sister Kourtney's atrocious attempt on "One Life to Live." Shudder.
The Lionsgate film begins shooting in Atlanta on Wednesday.

Today we’re reporting from the Basketball Wives L.A. reunion taping which will air in November, and we’ll have plenty of coverage, interviews and photos to share soon. But we heard this morning that TMZ broke the story that L.A. Laker Matt Barnes released a statement announcing his breakup with Gloria Govan. Barnes’ statement read “We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time.” As luck would have it, we spent some time with Gloria at the reunion today and we decided to go straight to the source to find out the real deal. Here’s what Gloria had to say about her decision to put their relationship on hold indefinitely.
I saw the news today about you and Matt, and I know your relationship has been shown a lot this season and we’ll see even more of what’s going on with you a the end of the season, but can you talk about your split?
Matt and I do have kids and we’re trying to be as cordial as we can right now and we’ll be in each other’s lives forever, but as relationships go, we have our ups and downs. It hasn’t been an easy ride moving across the country twice, having kids at 21 when I just graduated college, it hasn’t been easy. And now Matt has the lockout, so everything has been stressful with the breakup, the lockout, everything, it’s been a whirlwind. But we’re still friends and we’re still working things out and I wish him nothing but the best. I just asked your sister Laura about it and she said she thinks you’ll get back together.
Of course she does. My whole family is rooting for that man. I swear. They would pick him over me. I’ve learned my lesson, never say never and I think anything is possible, but right now I’m taking my time to grow as an individual. Not only for myself but for my family. We’ll see. I’m not going to say never, I’m optimistic, but for now…we’re going our separate ways. But if our paths cross again it’s meant to be. For now, we’re just taking our time to do our own thing. And Laura of course wants it. With her situation with Gilbert (Arenas), she’s been in and out, out and in. She has a lot of experience and good advice when it comes to situations like this. Do you look up to her and think if they can get back together, anything’s possible?
Anything is possible but am I looking at them like “Yay, we can get back together because Laura and Gilbert have fluctuated so much and they are back together”? No. I look up to my sister, I think she’s a very string person but in terms of relationship, I’m walking to my own drum here. Do you want to sow your oats and date other people, is that part of it?
I think that’s a lot of people’s assumption, that oh, she wants to f— around and f— everything because he did and it’s like NO. A), it’s such a double standard, even if I wanted to I can’t because they’d put me on blast if I did. And B) I have kids, you know? I’m not looking to date anyone at this moment, I’m just going to take this opportunity to take a step back and reevaluate where I wanna go in life. And I think I have a long way to go to make my mark in feature films and in my community, but I’m happy. I’m happy with where I am now.

There was a big confrontation at Nicki Minaj's house in Hollywood moments ago ... and it got so bad the cops came ... TMZ has learned.
Here's the backstory. Law enforcement tells us, a couple of weeks ago, Nicki's maid took a photo of the singer out of the trash and then asked Nicki to sign it. Nicki got pissed and fired her.
Cops tell us, the maid did come back today, and Nicki became enraged and ordered her to leave. A source privy to the fight tells TMZ, the maid stood her ground, demanding not to be "treated like an animal" -- at which point, Nicki allegedly said, "I'll show you how to treat someone like an animal ... get the f**k out of my house!"
Now here's where the stories are a bit conflicting. One source says -- contrary to what the cops say -- Nicki actually made a mistake, saw another maid and assumed she was the one Nicki had fired.
We have had multiple people involved in the incident tell us ... the maid Nicki confronted was NOT the same maid she fired a few weeks ago. It was a case of mistaken identity.
Either way, Nicki's boyfriend got in the act and began pushing the maid with his body. The maid's boss called the cops and filed a battery report.

Beyoncé Knowles has announced her pregnancy at the 2011 Video Music Awards after performing her new song “Love on Top.”

Former Destiny’s Child group member, Kelly Rowland, said that she has known about Beyoncé’s pregnancy for a while, E! Online reported.
“I think she'll be an incredible mother," Rowland told us at the House of Hype's post-VMAs party at the SLS hotel. "She's always been motherly. I think that takes after so many traits from her mother [Tina Knowles]. I just think it's going to be so natural for her."
Before her commanding performance, Beyoncé told viewers on Sunday, “Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet – I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me!”
Following her song “Love on Top,” Beyoncé removed her jacket, smiling as she rubbed her belly.
The power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z was married in 2008. Since then, there have been many pregnancy rumors that have been shot down – but last night Beyoncé confirmed the exciting news in front of millions.
The singer told CNN’s Piers Morgan in June that she wanted to get pregnant.
“I feel great and I feel like 30 is the ideal age [to start a family], because you're mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards, and not be afraid, too polite -- but you're young enough to be a young woman," Beyoncé said. "I'm so looking forward to it."
She added, "I always said I'd have a baby at 30. But I also said I'm going to retire at 30. ... Only God knows."
People attending the VMA’s went wild following the “baby revelation.” Jay-Z was spotted in the crowd with Kanye West – beaming as Kanye proceeded to congratulate him.
“OMG Beyoncé just made a huge announcement on the #vma carpet! #baby!!!!!” MTV tweeted.
Beyoncé’s rep has also confirmed the exciting new that the couple is expecting their first child.
